At Slim’n lite, we recommend roasting the turkey in order to bring out its best flavor.
The steps are as followed;
Preheat the oven to 350°F/175°C. Add 3 tbsp of lemon juice, little olive oil, pinch of salt, black pepper, paprika, & rosemary on the outside of the turkey. Then lift the skin up, mix these seasonings directly on the flesh and add onions, garlic pieces, carrots or any of your other favorite vegetables.
Place the turkey breast side down in a shallow roasting pan & cover it well with aluminum foil. At least 30 to 60 minutes before it is done, measure the internal temperature with a thermometer. When it reaches 125˚F/70˚C, you should turn the turkey and then increase the oven temperature to 400˚F/200˚C for the remaining roasting time.
To make a light gravy for extra flavor, you can strain the juices of the turkey, boil it and add 2 tbsp of flour and mix slowly until it becomes all liquid.
