Low Fod Map Diet


FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides and Polyols which are a certain class of carbohydrates, that are more difficult for people to digest. The low-FODMAP diet temporarily restricts these carbohydrates in order to relieve uncomfortable symptoms and give your digestive system a rest. Removing irritants gives your gut lining a chance to repair itself and can help restore a healthy balance of gut flora.

This is due to us taking in more calories and having an inactive lifestyle. there are studies that show that an estimate of 18% of adults will be obese by 2025. there are many risks related to obesity, such as diabetes, heart issues, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides...  To combat this uptake in obesity and the related risk factors people have begun to switch to artificial sweeteners to reduce their sugar and caloric intake.
